It was supposed to be another casual night out with his usual gang of friends. “The date that we’re going on this weekend.”

“The date? This—oh, I don’t know. Is Saturday night good?”
“I never agreed to this.”
“Well,” Chanyeol said, rolling his shoulders. “I think you should at least let me take you out.”
“And why should I?”
Giving Baekhyun a killer look that meant to persuade, Chanyeol justified by saying, “Since you didn’t leave your number and left me going crazy for days, a dinner date’s the least you could do for my broken heart.”
“Your broken heart?” Baekhyun repeated, taken by Chanyeol’s personality.
“You wanna feel it?” Chanyeol asked, moving aside the scarf that he was wearing to open his jacket out for Baekhyun. “You can if you want. I don’t mind.”
Touched by the stupid gesture, Baekhyun reached over and covered Chanyeol back up. “Thank you, but no thanks.”
“I was hoping you’d do it anyways.”
“You should’ve hoped otherwise.”
“But what about that date?” Chanyeol asked. As Baekhyun pulled his hand back, Chanyeol caught it with his own. “Say yes.”

“Please.”
“Listen, Chanyeol—”

Defeated, Baekhyun sighed. “Why should I?” he asked, giving Chanyeol a look.
“Because I won’t take no for an answer.”

Laughing quietly at Chanyeol’s declaration, Baekhyun glanced down. Taking notice of Chanyeol’s drink, he commented, “I didn’t take you for someone who liked sweet things.”
Shrugging, Chanyeol took his cup and drank from it, running his tongue purposely slow on his bottom lip as he watched Baekhyun in a teasing manner. “What can I say? I’ve been a fan since your lips touched mine.”
