Oh My Devil
Oh My Devil
Pairing: Chanyeol/Baekhyun
Rating: PG
Genre: misc. / rom / fluff
Length: 1-2k
Summary: Chanyeol was the son of the Devl. Literally.
A/n: AHHHHHHH!!! I was going to start working on ATTWY4 but then I saw this old thing and I dont know if I ever posted it on here, but ugh... UGH. It's trash--t R A S H. But, I wrote it 2 years ago or something for ChanbaekPH (twitter) so.. Here you go.
Chanyeol was the Devil and Baekhyun’s friends don’t understand why they were “dating”.
It didn’t even seem like a relationship to them, only blasphemy, because that was what it was. For the Devil to date someone of a higher being, a status greater than life, an Angel, it was a something definitely against the rules.
In contrast to Chanyeol’s dark and ominous appearance and vibe, Baekhyun had a light air to him. When the time called for it, he’d release his wings and show the school how his feathers were the purest of white. Chanyeol, on the other hand, had nothing to show off but his brutal strength to anyone that crossed his path, sometimes setting fire to things with the flick of a finger--if he wanted.
It was such an odd thing to see every day. The demons usually kept to themselves, even when in classes mixed with the Creatures of Light. The story as to how the two came to be was a mystery. No one knew how or why the two fell in love. Chanyeol wanted no one in their business and Baekhyun was far too shy to even say.

It didn’t matter to Chanyeol whether he smoked or not. Everything about him was already dead inside. His eyes were closed until he heard a scream followed by the sound of a crash. Before he could make anything out of it, he heard his hell hounds snarling and growling viciously outside.
He stepped out from his room, opening the door that led to his backyard and spotted a Creature of Light cornered by his dogs with one wing drooping down more than the other. His clothes were scratched and torn, and by the look of the tree, Chanyeol guessed he had fallen from the sky (ironic as hell), hitting the plant by chance.
For a split second, he wondered if he should let the dogs tear the boy apart. The creature was, after all, trespassing on territory he probably knew he was not welcomed in. Chanyeol had never seen a death before, and it excited for a minute, but then he noticed the torn clothes resembled that of his school’s.
Whistling, he called the dogs off. Chanyeol wondered if the nervous and terrified angel knew who he was. It would’ve been surprising if he didn’t. Everyone knew his father was the Demon king, especially the Lights.
“I saved your life just now,” Chanyeol announced slyly as he approached the injured being, almost like a predator circling its prey. “You’re lucky I was home.”
It seemed his words flew right of the other’s head as the Angel looked up at the red sky and whimpered. “I’m...I’m Baekhyun. I got lost…” he said in a frightened voice, shaking. “I was on my way home and these things chased me. I--”
“I don’t care enough to listen,” Chanyeol said, cocking his head. “I saved you and now you owe me your life.”
“I can’t do that...That’s too much, sir. I--.”
“Why not?” It sounded like a demand because it was.
“I’ve already written my name in the book of life. I can’t--”
“The book of life!” Throwing his head back, Chanyeol cursed. “That’s a joke. Your species amuses mine, you know that? Listen, the book of life asks for your name. I’m asking for your life. Get it?”
“My name is my life...,” Baekhyun argued, back still against the concrete wall of the property. “It’s my identity, my entire existence. I can’t give you what I’ve already given. I’m forever grateful for your mercy, but I just… I just need to find my way back home.”
“I saved you and you’re asking for favors? Rude. And your people say demon’s have no manners.”
“I didn’t mean to insult.” Wringing his hands, Baekhyun nervously looked at him straight in the eyes. “Please, I don’t know this part of the realm very well.”
That was new. Chanyeol searched him up and down. “Why should I help you? I’ve already helped you once.”
“Because it’ll come from the goodness out of your own heart.”
“Oh, darling, I don’t have a heart.”
“But you must have one if you called your hell hounds off.”
“I called them off because I didn’t want them to eat you alive.”
“Yes, and--”
“I did.”
Baekhyun froze and was effortlessly taken a hold of by the arm. Chanyeol used his strength to drag him across the property despite the latter practically crying in fear as he was pushed inside the house and taken to an enclosed bedroom.
It was dark and Baekhyun’s heart was erratically beating. The demon had left him only to return with an unmarked box. In that moment, he thought it’d be the end until Chanyeol used his hand hand to forced the disarrayed Angel to sit on the floor before doing what was least expected of him.
Giving the Creature a herb, he demanded he chew on it as he bandaged and wrapped the broken wing, just enough for it to be secure. The act made Baekhyun’s fear lessen, but when he began to smile, Chanyeol growled.
“Smile again and I’m throwing you for the dead to eat.”
“Sorry…”
There was a short silence.
“I’m not doing this because I have a heart.”
“Okay…”
“I pity you.”
Baekhyun nodded submissively.
“I’ve already eaten, and now that I’ve seen you up close, you’re not as appealing to me anymore. I might as well send you back to your territory. You’re useless to me with this ugly wing of yours. They’re a little gray. How unfortunate.”
Despite after all his words, Baekhyun forced himself to hide his happiness. “Thank you,” he said, wanting to cry.
“If you cry, I’m done.”
“Sorry…”

Chanyeol sent Baekhyun back in a black carriage, ordering the driver to take him back to the light. He didn’t do so without threatening to kill him if Baekhyun died along the way.
“His wings took up an entire bandage roll. If you let that go to waste, I’ll tear your head off myself.”

The next time they saw each other, it was at school. Chanyeol saw him land at the gate just as his carriage came to a stop. Baekhyun turned back and saw him through the window and smiled.
Chanyeol’s frowned harder than he was frowning before, thinking back to when he told the latter not to smile. At all.
Angel’s must have short term memory.

Baekhyun didn’t always have the whitest wings. They were, in fact, a little gray, but just as Chanyeol’s kindness towards him (and a few other things) grew as his forbidden affections for Baekhyun became more apparent, his wings grew whiter.
It seemed wrong to other people, but they didn’t understand, necessarily. Love and happiness purified the dark, and Baekhyun’s kiss gave Chanyeol his first beat.
